What do we believe?

We believe in the Holy Bible as the true Word of God, that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and that holy men of God spoke as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost.  The Holy Bible, as the revelation of the person and will of God, is the final rule of faith, doctrine, and practice for the Christian church.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin.  He lived a sinless life, performing the complete will of the Father, pleasing Him by being obedient even unto death on the cross.  He was slain for the sins of mankind.  At the cross, God laid on Him the iniquity of us all, and He died in our place.  As a sacrificial lamb, without blemish before God, He was the propitiation for our sins.  It is through His shed blood that we have atonement, the forgiveness of sin, and there is salvation in no other.  Upon His death, He was buried in a tomb, rising on the third day in triumph over death.  He showed Himself alive after His resurrection to hundreds of witnesses by many infallible proofs.  He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

We believe in the personal bodily return of this same Jesus, from heaven to this earth, in power and glory, and that He will gather to Himself His elect, the church, and that He will judge the living and the dead, and that He will establish the everlasting Kingdom of God.
